The We Didn't Get to Go to CHA Challenge!!

Sometimes, it takes a little push to get your Mojo Flowing

You know?

On Friday, I was chatting it up on Facebook with friends

Christi and Amber

and we decided to put together a few challenges to have fun with

since we were all sitting at home wishing we could be at the big show...

you know THE BIG SHOW

SO we came up with the

"We didn't Get to go to CHA Challenge!!"

So Amber's Challenge is use these three colors

C= Candy Apple Red

H= Honey

A= Aqua

Yeah, ok I know this one just took on a life of it's own..

once I got out the paint and smooch spritz it was all overwith

I just kept piling stuff on...chunky glitter, a drink umbrella, some tulle, a doiley

I was pretty high on caffeine while I worked on this one

but it sure was fun!!

The next challenge was from Christi

Her challenge was to use THIS BOOK Cover as inspiration

I went for pretty literal in my inspiration..LOL
but I just love the way it turned out
That little hanger came from the Coolest Little Store EVER
SKY BLUE PINK
they have punchinella for so super cheap!!
Sentiment Stamp is Verve

Last was my challenge, which was to create something inspired by your favorite
CHA Sneek Peak
Mine is Twig by LYB
Well I love almost all the sneak peeks I've seen honestly, but I guess I went with this
one because they seemed to go in a different color direction than everyone else
and also because I just can't ever get enough of the classics I guess..

I used Pink Paislee Paper here, Unity Sentiment, and the trees are MLS

I had so much fun creating for these challenges!!

I really need some sunshine!

I am one of those people who wilts

without enough fresh air and sunshine

it doesn't have to be 70 degrees or anything...

I don't mind sunshine and snow

but just about anything would beat these very dreary bleak skies the past week

ick

it makes me cranky

and cranky doesn't work for me

I used to hit the tanning beds whenever this feeling

started to overtake me

but unfortunately a little skin cancer will make you rethink that idea

so I figured maybe I could craft myself some sunshine

Ahhhh...that's a little better

so a good day to curl up with a book in my jammies and get some stamping done

although I'm not sure what order that's going to be in...

I altered a canvas tote for today's project..

Yep...EAD DESIGNS RUB ONS even stick to canvas!!

I have only found one thing these suckers don't stick to,

and that was something with a rough surface

I used the EAD DESIGNS CAGED Vinyl RubOns

I used some spray bottles with Acrylic paint mixed with water for the background

and used some Punchinella and scotch tape to make it interesting

I have been hoarding those fabric tags forever, they are K&Co

The canvas tote I purchased at Walmart in a pack of 3 for only $6

Only Four more days to enter the EAD DESIGNS COLOR CHALLENGE!!!

Need to take a minute

I've been consumed...

Since I read Karen's first Highlander book,

Beyond the Highland Mist

I was hooked on her writing..

the only problem being, she doesn't write anywhere near as fast as I read her books

and it's probably expecting way too much for an author to write a book in 5 or 6 hours

and I have a tendency to eat books in that way

The "Fever" Series started in 2006

and proceeded with wrecking my little world with

the next three books over FOUR STIKING YEARS of Torture

to end here with this

I AM WRECKED! WRECKED I TELL YOU!!!!

There are no words, this was the most amazing ending ever

while you see the possibility of other characters getting their own story, and a few things were left undone with the main characters

KMM did the most amazing job tying up the loose ends that she's been torturing us with from the beginning, and I never saw the ending coming

I can't even make myself read anything else right now

Here's what I will tell you...If you haven't read any of these

drop everything and start right now....really right now...

I do have a card to show you today...

because my brain is still wrecked

Hey there,

I haven't been around that much the past week or so..

sorry about that

I've had some crazy stuff going on with work

leaving one under less than ideal circumstances, wasn't easy

looking for a new one was actually much easier than I thought,

(they actually came to me)

so maybe in the end it was all meant to be

It's not all for sure yet, but it looks like I'll be going back to nursing at Andrews

Let it go, move on

why is it so hard for me to make things when things are going screwy?

That's not really what this post was supposed to be about though,

It's about me getting a NOOKColor

Rob gave me my Vday present early, really it was pre-emptive because he had planned to get me one, but was afraid I'd go buy it myself before he could get it

I LOVE IT!

I really think everyone should have one!

So, I've been reading like I'm an addict and books are my crack

Anyway,

I made this little notebook to keep track of everything I read this year,

I actually attempted this last year,

but then I lost my notebook somewhere between Md and Il

Here's this years...

Hopefully I won't lose it this year!

This is just an altered notebook from the Target $spot

I used K&Co Paper and Ippity Stamps

and colored with my watercolor pencils

Yep...I scrapped!

I haven't in so so long, but I did a couple pages this weekend

which has kind of put me in the mood to do more...

I was inspired by Christi's layout here

I used punchinella as a stencil and a mister with some watercolor paint

( I've been playing around with art supplies- SO FUN)

anyway I used those to create the efects in the corners

I stamped several Unity stamps from the Le Chic kit

then used EAD RUB ONS GOOD TIMES and EAD STICKERZ Lucky Stars

Paper is October Afternoon and Bella BLVD,

tape is from Pink Paislee and Torendi

Torendi is Closing...:(

so if you want to get your hands on any of Jenn's super Cute stuff

These pictures were taken in September on Britain's birthday

at a dockside resturaunt not far from where we live.

It happened to be the coolest day ever, because not only were our friends who had just

moved back from Japan staying with us...but we happened to run into

Jack's (my bff's Stephanie's son) all time hero

Travis Pastrana..the Nitro Circus Guy and Jim DeChamp also Nitro Circus

who were both incredibly nice and let us take pictures with them and everything.

I still have to scrap those though :)
