WOW!!

Nothing like a good summer storm to make you

realize you're really not in charge of anything in this world.

Mother Nature dumped a huge tree on top of a house

(thank God no one was hurt) about a mile from here yesterday at about 3:30pm.

Which completely knocked out power (and we're on a well so water too) and basically well everything, I couldn't even get a cell signal without driving up to the gas station.

Anyway, it knocked out about a 15 mile grid, people all the way close to Annapolis didn't have power.

I probably don't have to tell you, but with the heat wave in this part of the country this was all the opposite of fun.

It lasted until 5am this morning!!

DON'T YOU DARE TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT TRUE BLOOD

I CAN'T WATCH IT UNTIL TONIGHT!!

BUT HERE I AM!!

HERE'S MY PROJECT FOR TODAY

I Used THE EAD DESIGNS VINTAGE RUBONS IN CREAM

and STITCHES STICKERZ

I picked up this really cool vinatage frame, (it even has a velvet back SCREAM!!),

from a thrift store for like $2

I created a collage using Bella BLVD and MEMORY BOX Paper, doilies, vinatage sheet music and a Jenni Bowlin Bingo Card

for the background and then applied the vinyl to the glass

I tied the ribbon around the glass before inserting into the frame

and called it DONE!

So for my project today I was inspired by

these ladies

HOW DOES SHE?

These chicks make me want to go out and buy power tools

and paint everything pink

So I went to our local hardware store and bought a 2x4 for like $2

and it just so happens that our hardward store has a

Lance

(that's a guys name not a power tool)

Since I've been there quite a bit, talking to Lance,

he taught me how to use our water softener,

fix our screen doors, work the topsy turvy tomato plant etc

he kind of gets this scared look when I walk in now

anyway, I asked him if he could recommend

an inexpensive saw that I could cut the 2x4 up with

He literally had horror written all over his face

and then he said "pick it up on Friday"

So...get yourself a saw or get yourself a Lance

Unless you know how or have a husband who does this kind of stuff...

My HUSBAND does not

I love him and he is REALLY HOT

but he doesn't saw stuff

I'm sure the

HOW DOES SHE GIRLS

are probably hanging their heads in shame right now

This project took literally pennies to make and think of all the gifts you could make!!

More than half of our customers are buying our product for home decor, but we want to see you do more than just sticking it to your walls.

We need you to be "Crafty" and creative.

For my project I flashed back to my Junior High days...I had a pair of pink and grey argyle legwarmers and black roller skates with pink wheels.

and I soooooo couldn't wait for the next couples skate

which gives it a really cool effect and made it match the notebook spiral
