Betcha thought I forgot...

For mine I used WorldWinn Cardstock, Pattern Paper by Bo Bunny, stickers by Carol Lee's Adorn it, and Die Cut sheets by Paper Reflections....
About the ATC..I've gotten quite a few questions so will try to answer them...
1.what is an ATC? ATC stands for Artist Trading Card..some of you asking are in the Deck of Me Challenge it's the same amount of space 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 you can use a card as your base, just cut cardstock down, or buy blank ones to use...the point is just to make some little bit of artsy goodness share with a friend.

2. Is there a prompt or theme...?no...I want you do do whatever you are inspired to do with these tiny little canvases..if you want to make your own theme for all your cards that's fine too..
here are some links for inspiration...

3.Are there rules? I have only one, okay maybe two...1. please if you say you're going to do it, follow through 2. I am asking everyone to put their information somewhere on the card (ie name, address, ssn, blood type, favorite brand of underwear...the usual) JUST KIDDING...really...but I would like you to have your name, email, blog address, and physical address if you want to share...point of this is that I'm making an artadex (rolodex of art..look at me I made a new word!) and so are you!!! If you want to put a photo of yourself on it..whatever you want to do...
4."oh my gosh , I'm so flippin' busy when the crap am I supposed to have these done by? April 30th sound ok? that's about 6 weeks..if not let me know and I can push it back farther...

If I have not emailed you, it is because I don't have your email address....email addresses don't come through on your comments unless you enable this on blogger...I need email addresses so I can send you my physical address so you can send the cards to me. Except for you PAT, you can just walk next door..LOL.. I'm asking that you send me your cards with a self addressed stamped envelope (with the same amount of postage that it took to get your cards to me) This is pretty standard for all swaps. Right now we have 13 participants, if I missed you please let me know.
here are our participants...

Casii
Robin
Deanna
Judy
Lisa
Kathryn
Christi
Kylie

the few others that had questions and hadn't commited yet, please just let me know...and if I accidentally left you off the list please let me know...I'm going to close sign ups on Friday so we can get going. Sound good?! I'm so excited to see what you all do with these!

I woke up today and realized I will be 34 in a little less than a month...and not to sound repetitive but really, when did that happen?...obviously somewhere around the time the girls started searching for my armpits whenever I lay down...and I ask you..what the hell is up with this hair that has decided to take up residence on my upper lip?

Thanks so much for stopping by! I have some serious blog reading/catching up to do...will try to get that going tonight...

A Superfanteriferic Day!!!

I had such an awesome day today! ...Today was my first Official Fiskars Demo at The Scrapbook Facotory here in O'Fallon, IL....it was a huge success...I was there from about 1130-4...I got there a little early thinking I'd have time to set up before people started coming...I was wrong...people were lining up while I was trying to set up...it was crazy...it was awesome...it was a blast...I met so many cool people today and had so much fun teaching people how to use their tools....I loved hearing people say "oh my gosh I never knew that" and "thanks I really learned something new!" Anne (the manager) did such a great job of advertising...plus she put the Fiskars items on sale and made Paper Packs..WorldWin Cardstock in Fiskars orange and Beige to give away also...Did I already mention it was fun? I made about 50 RAK's to give away to everyone who participated in the make and take (it was a cute little Thank you Card) and I actually ran out!! and then if you can even believe this...They happen to have just gotten a part time opening and they offered me a JOB!!! It's like my dream job...!!! Which is why I am happy dancing all over the place like Tigger!!
So now...I am exhausted...my throat hurts and I think I might be losing my voice...but it's all good...I've got to go pick one of Britain's friends to spend the night and then at midnight...(because I'm the coolest mom ever...:-) ) I will be taking all of them to Gamestop to get SuperSmash Brothers Brawl....if you have a boy into video games then you're probably familiar with this phenomenon...
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Gratitude:
1. Fiskars Demo
2. getting offered a job at my LSS
3. Meeting so many cool fun people today
4. midnight game releases...(ok not...)
5. Orange

It's Fun PROJECT FRIDAY!!! Edited**

Hello my friends!! Thank you so much for stopping by on this Friday night...do I have you dancing around your computer with your hair in a side ponytail?!?

Here we go

So CUTE it Makes you WANT to go BUY a book BOOKMARKS!!

I can't take full credit for this project....I've seen this idea in a bunch of places so I don't know who came up with it first, I just put my own twist to it... but it's cute and it's cheap, and it's super easy...

Gather:

1. Scallop punches and a circle punch that will nest (I used my Marvy Giga scallop circle and square punches and my Fiskars XL circle squeeze punch)

2. Cardstock (I used Bazzill Bling and Worldwin)If you have not tried WorldWin Cardstock, I suggest you do...they have an awesome color selection, and it just always seems to match, it also cuts nice and clean and loves adhesive...LOVE this stuff

3. stamps ( I used Studio G clear stamps from Michael's)

4. adhesive ( I used my Tombow adhesive runner and of course Beacon's 3 in 1 craft glue)oh my heaven...I just discovered at the Beacon's site they have a "glue guide" so you can match up glue to a specific project...

5. ink

6. Jumbo Paper Clips (I got mine from the Office section of Walmart 15 for .94)

Let's go

1. Punch out your scallop circles and squares your regular circles. Punch your scalloped shapes double because your going to sandwich your paperclip between the two.

2. Stamp images on your un-scalloped circles

3. Nest your stamped images on to your scalloped punches with adhesive

4. Apply glue to the back of one of your scalloped shapes, lay it down on a flat surface, place your paperclip on the glue, (this is where I add more glue) then apply the other scallop punch (the one with the stamped image) on top they should line right up for you...
With everything going on I've gotten a little behind in my mailouts...please hang in there....
Deanna and Angela please send me your snail mails. Thanks for playing!

That's it! The boys actually did these too, so it's something you can make pretty easy with your kids. I'm bribing them. I told them if they helped me make a bunch of these and the pebble magnets for the craft fair that they could make some money....Being the little capitalists they are they went right to work.
I think, for the most part, that my technical difficulties are over...I hope...

I got a lot of stuff done today...

Here is my card for the Deck of Me Week 8 the prompt was "if you could be someone else for one day who would it be" I picked Sydney Bristow, from ALIAS (she was played by Jennifer Garner)This just made me want to go out and rent all 6 seasons...again

and I got caught up on Christi's Creative Prompts

I really never do cards, but I had so much fun stamping and coloring this in that I got my Doodlebug stamps out and did 3 more...I think I finally "get" the stamping/coloring in thing....it's like being a little girl again hunched over a new coloring book, biting your lip, with your crayolas....it's so FUN!!

and I did use my crayola's!! well actually they were Britain's colored pencils...you can probably totally tell I used my, er, I mean Britain's Crayola's...but it doesn't matter!!! it was FUN!

I have a big apology to make about the walking thing...I STILL haven't started...but in my defense we've had one snow storm after another here...the kids have been off for snow days the past two days...so I am going to walk, I promise, as soon as I can walk out my front door without turning into a popsicle...

That's all I have for tonight...except for this picture of Rob pretending to be Caesar Milan with CoCoa...it looks like she's mad, but she's not she's smiling...

she likes to lay on her back and have her chin rubbed...

Oh and I'm getting a big kick out of this ...

no, it's not a flying saucer...it's the picture Britain took of the Lunar Eclipse...
Have a great night!
oh gosh
I've been bad about this lately
Gratitude
1. having the day off
2. a really creative day
3. being snowed in ( ok not so great but I'm making the best of it)
4. the hershey kisses are gone (ok thank you lord)
5. we're all going to watch a movie tonight...
MWAH!
