Viral Meningitis really sucks....and You guys are so sweeeeeeet....

Our bedroom became the family campground this week...there are two dogs in this picture too...and Britain is trying his best "sick mom" imitation...isn't it funny how you try to stay away from everyone because you don't want to get them sick, but they all end up with you anyway...and don't mind Landon's bare chest..I can never seem to keep clothes on that kid..I swear he would walk around in underwear all th time if I let him...

I don't think I've ever been gone from my blog quite this long...I want to say thank you so much for all your well wishing and supportive emails these past few days...I would have been blogging everyday except I try to keep this a positive place (for the most part) and I felt what would I say but "spent the day in bed, slept, watched bad tv" ....I finally am feeling better..much better...and I know soon I'll be 100% again...all in all it's been a pretty rough week and in this process I ended up leaving my nursing job ( they were actually going to write me up for every day I missed this week even though I had a doctor's note)...I had to make myself let this go...sure, I could have fought and kicked and screamed but I had to ask myself "to what purpose"? I still have my job at the Scrapbook Factory, and hopefully this will give me the time I need to concentrate on the Medical Transcription training I've been trying to get started with for the past month. Someone really smart told me this week "these things usually happen for a good reason".

I have not created a single thing this week, but I'm starting to get the "bug", another sure sign I know I must be feeling better. I hope to get some things done tonight and tomorrow. I recieved the first set of ATC cards for the swap already from Lisa..she did an awesome job, but sorry can't show you...you'll have to wait! I know what you're thinking...I haven't started mine yet either...

Sooo, I will get to making stuff and pay some attention to my kids...so I have cute stuff and funny stories to share with you...thanks for hanging in there and checking in on me...and I will be back tomorrow...for now I totally have to go catch up with what everyone else has been up to!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I'm so glad to hear that you are starting to feel better. Just don't try to do too much too fast. Take care of yourself. I can't believe they were going to write you up for each day you missed with a doctor's note! Did they want you to come to work sick?

Amy.....it was great to see you today and SBF! I am so glad you are feeling better! Sorry that scary word freaked me/us out a bit! LOL

WOW! I am sorry to hear about your nursing job and how the acted! That is so NOT RIGHT! You would think that THEY of all people would understand the most!

But, you are right! These things usually do happen for a reason!

Can't wait to see what you create next!

OOPS! That was supposed to be AT SBF. And how THEY acted! OMG! I should just quit typing right now! Obviously, I am having some PROBLEMS! LOL I wish they would let us go back and edit our posts! SORRY!

I am so glad you are feeling better and you didn't need that sucky job anyway if you weren't appreciated! I think you should just be a professional crafter, you certainly have the creds for that.

you know I think this was meant to happen, you have a lot of other good opportunities in your life now with SBF and the med trans course. Along with that there is the blogging and swaps and things you are doing and ya fiskers work. It's just a shame it didn't end on terms that were suitable to you. Don't look back move forward and enjoy whats about to happen.

Take care of yourself! I hope you are feeling 110% very soon.

I agree, everything does happen for a reason!

Best of luck. Talk to you soon. =)

I'm so happy you are feeling better. I can't believe your job wasn't understanding about you being sick! Sometimes, people can be so heartless. I'm sure that leaving is for the best. Take care!

Your now former employer, is just mean people... It's amazing how some employer treat their people. Your better off without them. Yes, it is true things happen for a reason. That is part of our journey here on this lovely earth, the part we must realize is not to wallow when something bad happens, we must make that lemonade out of it... Ok enough of that... I am really happy to hear you are on the mend, that is good news. Soon we will chat. I am on Spring break all this upcoming week... Amen for that, I need a vacation. LOL

So glad to see you are starting to recover ... I'd been thinking of you this week and wondering how you were doing. Sounds to me like you pretty much have your priorities right. Take care of yourself. x

Amy, I'm so glad to hear you're doing better. That has been a long time. I think you made the right decision about your job. You obviously weren't happy with it and now you got a good excuse to do something about it! Congratulations. I'm sure everything is going to work out for the best and you will be MUCH happier.

I feel you, I had a job like that once (I won't say who it was because they're a major airline and wouldn't want them to lose business, but their name starts with a C and ends with an l with ontinenta in between;).

Glad to hear you're better!

Yeah..I am glad you are feeling better. I swear companies now what you to come to work sick. Where I work for only one more day, you would get an occurrance if you called in sick..or if you didn't give 24 hour notice for being absent. REALLY, who plans to be sick. And I agree with Dianna..things happen for a reason. This is a new opportunity for you.
I haven't been blogging or creating much this month. I keep saying when April 1st gets here I will be ready to do more. I haven't started on my ATC cards either. I know mom has a few done.

Glad to hear your on the mend. Sounds like that illness really kicked your butt. Sorry to hear about your former job, I can't believe they reacted that way about an illness like that. Now you have more time to dedicate to your Heaven and other endeavors!!

Wow Amy! That's terrible that you're all sick, then again at least it's all at once so you can be done and over with it all at once - KWIM?! I did get to post a picture of a scrapbook page I did with one of your "ricettas"! I am working on more! My life at work and at home has been C-R-A-Z-Y lately so nothing (including mailing) has been done! UGH! Good luck on finding what you're going to do now with everything that's happened lately!

((((((Peachie)))))

I was so enthusiastically happy to see you back at work (at SBF....not at that other place that was mean to you....*sticks out my tongue at them, even though my momma told me not to do that!* ) Seriously, I'm so glad you're feeling better, even if you do still have that raspy "Stevie Nicks" voice...*grins*

Anyhoo, gonna be a crazy week for us girlie, with the show coming up...hope we get a chance to work together for some of it!

Later peachie!!! *grins*

Oh dear -- viral meningitis is a nasty thing. Hope you are resting up as far as you can (moms never really get complete rest do they?) Give yourself a month at least to feel yourself, but remember you will be OK again! that's the part I always forget when it is serious. (This too will pass...)
