I've got a Pocket Full of Sunshine....

I'm so glad you dropped in!!

I thought I'd use some mood music today...

I went a little off the beaten path with my project

and altered a birdhouse. I'm sure you've probably all seen these

cute little naked birdhouses at Joann's or whatever your local craft store is.

I primed the birdhouse with Gesso and then painted it with a layer of vanilla acrylic paint and then a layer of sky blue acrylic paint. I then applied papers from the Pocketfull of Sunshine Kit,

available on your right, for 35$ with free shipping!!

After that I sanded it everywhere to give it that vintagey cottageish look.

I painted over the whole thing with a medium transparent glaze.

I then added the flowers and painted the birds from the BIRDS OF A FEATHER KIT also available on your right.

I think it turned out pretty cute!
