Holy Crap!!!

No, this isn't a continuation of my exploding sewer line story...
and
Holy Crap!

it's been forever since I've been able to play along!!

Today's challenge was to make a Get Well card

which was perfect because I have to make a few!!
one of my stamping SCS friends Sherry, actually her Mom,
fell and broke her hip so we've been praying for her and bombarding her with cards as onlystampers/papercrafters can do
I was also able to use Amber's sketch challenge for this as well
Love it when
you can use two challenges for one project!!
If you would like to send Sherry's Mama a card,

Supplies used: Unity Stamps Jan KOM, Simply Said

Daisy D's paper

Another "Card Shower" going on is for this most precious angel ever
Little Princess Taylor, who is turning 4 on March 3rd
her story is so inspiring
if you go read it you will fall in love!
If you would like to send a birthday card to Taylor

Supplies Used: Unity Stamp Co: Aug KOM, Sept KOM, Butterfly Beauty,Simply Said

Paper is Scenic Route

I also have some exciting news to share on March 1st, I can't believe I've held it in as long as I have...but just a few more days!!

Memory and a Photo...

Ever since I saw the Memory and a Photo stamp from Unity on a layout Christi did in August I thought 2 things:

1. I have to have that stamp

2. I have to use that stamp to make a minibook

and so I did

I created a minibook for Landon...the story of his life so far...he'll be 10 on the 16th

I made a page for each year of his life, with extensive journaling on the back of each one. It's pretty simple actually, minimal embellishments...but I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Here's a few pictures

Supplies used:

Memory and a Photo stamp Unity

Pattern Paper, stickers 7 gypsies

Rub Ons Daisy D's

This is also my first time participating in the Unity's Wednesday Challenge at Splitcoast

Here is my card

Supplies used
Cuttlebug embossing folders
CTMH Cardstock
Pattern Paper Daisy D's
Today is Hip Hop Thurday at Unity and you still have time to take advantage of the great sales they're having. I'm telling you, this is the coolest company in the business!
In other news...I had a wonderful day today playing at Christi's...I swear just being around her makes me feel creative...I know I sound like a groupie...(shhhhhhh I kind of am....)That woman has some serious stamps!
That's all I have today.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Monkey Business and a Ricetta...

I made this mini clipboard today for The Scrapbook Factory...but thought I would also share it with you here...I am so in love with all this monkey stuff everywhere. I'm thinking this will be kitted and offered for sale at the store with the instructions if you're interested...If I bought some of these to kits to offer to you would any of you be interested? Just leave me a comment and let me know. The price I'm thinking would be $15 plus shipping (probably about 5$). The clipboard can either hang or is able to stand alone on any flat surface (there's a peg that attaches to the back). Finished it is 6x9 inches. Supplies Used: Daisy D's pattern paper Sock Monkey, Funky Monkey, Clipboard NicoleCrafts, Daisy D's Die Cuts, Color Box Ink.

Here is today's Ricetta I think we're on #6

and here is my layout based on the Ricetta...
This one is bazzill cardstock, Cosmo Cricket Halfway Cafe pattern paper, making memories letter stickers...

and now a little story for your reading pleasure...
On Monday I cooked dinner ( I know... but there's more) I made pork chops in mushroom gravy and they were really good but that's not really the story here. ..the story is that in the process of cooking (in true Amy fashion I used a pan that wasn't deep enough) the mushroom gravy spilled over which started a small fire in the bottom of the oven...ok for real...flames and everything...but you know...I do this once in a while, so I figured no big deal it will burn off...well it ended up making a huge mess (of course) so this morning I put the oven in it's self cleaning mode for about a minute and half before I thought better of my decision to try to take matters into my own hands and stopped the process calling Rob to "fix it"...he said he'd get to it later....ok..so meanwhile I had to make breakfast...popping in Landon't usual (tater tots) several minutes later the kitchen was filled with greyish black smoke, the smoke alarm is going off, and I pulled the tater tots out to find they were this greyish green color...huh?...so I have once again been banned from my kitchen, Mary Poppins ( my oven) has betrayed me...and a later conversation with my husband revealed that he apparently thinks I'm "like a superhero...gone very wrong..."ok thanks...
that's all for today...hope everyone had a nice night...looks like we're having takeout...

Ricetta # I can't remember....and meet Rachzel!!

ok I'm getting a little better (at least I think so) with my Bamboo Fun Pad....and here is my take on it
I used WorldWinn Cardstock, Bazzill Cardstock, This Boy Rub-ons by Daisy D's (LOVE these), Autumn Leaves Clear Stamps (talking in circles (boy)) by Sande Krieger (totally love these) and I cut the butterfly from pattern paper by Starfish Dreams...

If you decide to play link me up in the comments section of this post...

ok on to more important things...like my fun neighbor...Pat... and her daughter Rachel...who probably both at this point probably think I'm some kind of neighborhood stalker...I went to Pat's this am and God bless this woman...she had a case all ready for me to decoupage even some old magazines

and this

to use on it...how can you not love this...my Dad used to sing me this song when I was a little girl...
