There must be a sign...

Above my door, that only animals can read that says "All Furry Four Legged Creatures Welcome Here!" because look at this...

This came over yesterday while I was at work and the boys were playing outside with some of the neighbor kids...this wrapped my husband around her furry little paw in less than 30 seconds (although somehow this is all my fault even though I wasn't even here..huh?)...This ended up getting a bath from me at 9pm because I couldn't bear to stare at those eyes begging to be let in our home...This does not have a microchip...This was not reported missing in any of the local newspapers or Human Societies....This is something like sleeping with a toodler that drools a little more....This is the sweetest most docile well behaved probably pure bred black lab puppy you ever met in your life...This now has a name courtesy of Britain "Retro"..."Retro" needs a happy home....because I already have
this....

and let us not forget...

this one....I do not need 3 dogs...ok?

I loved my first day at SBF (my new 2nd job at The Scrapbook Factory) it's so fun...I so enjoyed helping customers pick things out and I don't know...for me there are no words..I know it sounds silly but it's like Utopia..it's not stressful when you're doing what you love...anyway here's a picture of Amy (this one is Amy Jo) she's the one who's been showing me the ropes

and here is a really bad picture of me trying to look studious...I just don't do studious...

I've completed my Deck of Me card for Week 11...prompt was "what is something you do for yourself everyday?" Mine is coffee time...that time in the morning when I'm the only one awake the house is quiet and I'm enjoying my morning coffee..photo on the front side is from Flickr.com

and I'm trying my hand at tags and joined a tag swap with some Fiskateers...so here's my first one

I know kind of simple...but it's my first one...oh and yeah, those are paint chips...love all the colors on these and guess what they're free! So I pick a few up now and then when I go to the store and have been trying to figure out what to do with them...so they landed on this tag...
I also did some page kits for the SBF...
With both jobs, a third dog, science fair crap, school crap, and spring break starting Wed...and the usual day to day house, work and kid stuff, I've been missing a lot of blog days lately...and projects...I have so many projects "in waiting"....but this is what I love to do and I don't want to make it a chore, so I'm taking it one day at a time and I will not stress myself out over not blogging every day...I say this because after missing a day or two here and there and looking at the huge mess in my craft area I found myself beating myself up about it...and I had to tell myself to get a grip and let it go....(which is a lot of talking to myself )
...(there is so much flying around in my head at any given time it gets pretty crowded in there)
I'd like to start an ATC Swap...who's up? The way it would work is this
after I get a count of how many sign up I'll let everyone know and you would make that many cards, every card should have your name on it and where your from, (blog/email is optional)
we'll set a deadline and you'll have all your cards to me by that date along with the extra postage (equal to the amount that it took to send your cards to me) I will then send you back one of each of everyone else's cards...I'm thinking having them all in to me by the end of April...sound fun?...I don't want this to be stressful, I want it to be fun...but if you sign up please make sure you can follow through...sound good? I've been wanting to play more with these and the Deck of Me has me loving this size...If you can't find blank ATC's use a deck of cards and alter them...or just cut heavy cardstock to 2 1/2 by 3 1/2...so leave a comment if you want to play and I'll send you and email.... can't wait to get going!
That's it for tonight...
Gratitudes:
1. dogs...even when everything else is going crazy they love you
2. being able to do something you love and get paid to
3. our trees are starting to bud...I do believe spring is around the corner
4. setting deadlines..it's what keeps me sane and on task
5. chili on a cold wet day
Thanks for stopping by!

You must have a bigger heart than me - I don't know if I could do it with dogs!!!

It's so nice that you are enjoying your 2nd job. I would love to do something that I really love - maybe some day! Nice picture of you. I was just thinking of how I miss the my scrapbook store. It really was the best!

Hope all is well. Take care!

I'm willing to try the ATC swap! I've never done one before, but I'll give it my best shot!

I think an ATC swap would be fun. I haven't done one, but I think I could manage.

What a sweet puppy! I probably couldn't resist but since DH is not an animal person I would be pushing my luck. I am lucky to have one dog.

Even though I'm a sucker for animals I'd have to draw the line at a 3rd dog! LOL Do you have any friends that would want him??

I'm glad you enjoyed your first day of work. It IS wonderful having a job that you enjoy being at and it doesn't really feel like work.

Enjoy the rest of the week. I have sick kiddos, again!! I'm so DONE with illness this winter!

So glad to hear your first day went well. That would be my absolute dream job if I didn't have to decide between work and my kids. Like I just came in when I wanted to. Probably not a ton of people hiring slackers like me. Hope you have a super week!

What a cutie! I'm a sucker for dogs that sleep at someone else's house! Although we do have one and I really love her on nights when I'm here alone! She's a great guard dog!

How exciting for you on your new job! It sounds and looks like such fun!

I think you are going to do so well at the shop. You have total "people power" and you're loads of fun! Can't wait to work with you again!

BTW, why didn't ya tell me to suck in my tummy when ya took that god-awful picture? LOL!

*Hugs*

How could resist that sweet face! I think Retro (THIS) has decide to adopt you!

I would like to try ATCs, I've only done one so there is a lot of room for improvement.

Love your new little furry family member...looks like my Annie :)

It's awesome you love your new job...I just think that aside from family, having a JOB that you LOVE is SO up there ya know? Like you said, if it doesn't feel like work...(*sigh*) I would have been an awesome movie/rock star/dancing queen/super model...(*sigh*)

"Retro" looks as if he has adopted you! He is adorable but 3 dogs could be a little much.

I think an ATC swap would be fun. I haven't made any yet but would like to give it a try.

Glad to hear the first day on the job was so great. It's wonderful when you have a job that you love and is lots of fun.

Awww... Your new family member is simply adorable! I have 3 dogs (yorkie, silky, papillion) and it really isn't any different than 2... You just have to keep Retro!

I'm glad to hear that your 1st day at SBF was a success! It doesn't even seem like "work" when you love what you do! Congratulations!

Your Deck of Me card is awesome! How did I know it was going to have something to do with coffee?!

Great use of the paint chips! Everyone in my Home Depot paint department looks at me like I'm crazy when I wander through picking up a handful of paint chips and NEVER purchase any paint! I have yet to complete a project with them but the time will come so I have to stock up... LOL...

I didn't see a tag swap at Fiskateers... Is it still open for signups?

I'm up for an ATC swap!

Take care of you...

great tags, and I hope you find that doggie's home soon.

I could send you a digital ATC, I can't get to a post office at the moment.

I'm in for an ATC swap. I'm green with envy at the fun you're having with your new LSS utopia bliss!

My dog Jack says hi (he's 100 lbs and TALL, so of course, he reads over my shoulder whenever he senses other furry friends onscreen)!

I love dogs too - what fun!!! Love the photos! You can count me in for the ATC swap - sounds like fun!

You're so cute in your new job!

I admire your dog keeping ability. Dogs make such a mess and I can't even come close to keeping up with the mess my kids make. I couldn't possibly have a dog (I do love them though).

Awww, cute dog - she knew a soft touch when she saw it!

Good luck with the ATC. x

Retro was very cute at least she has a new home.....looks like the new 2nd job is working out and they always say if you find a job you love you will never work a day in your life.....or words to that effect.
