It's a winter wonderland...

I tried to blog last night, I even had a really cute video because I figured out how to do that with my camera, it was Britain's imitation of me...and for real I was laughing so hard I almost peed my pants...but no matter what I do I can't seem to get it here...but I'm working on it...plus internet/cable was really spotty to to the BLIZZARD OF 2008...lol..I love how the news people even get new graphics for inclement weather....anyway..6 inches and a SNOW DAY FOR ALL of us...wow even Rob is off today...We're all pretty excited to go out and play in it...right after Rob makes us breakfast!

and before you say "are those Christmas Lights still up?" well kind of but we did it on purpose because we like them there.

The LOAD is over...which is kind of a relief... no more jumping up out of bed at 10pm scrambling to get the internet back up so that I can upload my layout because I forgot...but I have met (online) so many incredible through it that I hope to stay in contact with...it has been such an amazing experience and it really helped me to learn to "let go" of some of my creative inhabitions and realize that whatever I do...it's good enough for me...

I still have to read the book "Peace Like a River" by Leif Enger for Lain's book club at GoodReads, the discussion starts today so I'm behind, but I started it last night so hopefully I'll be done in a few days...If you'd like to join in just go by Lain's and follow the link it's a lot of fun and like everything with Lain...low stress...

Here is my last Layout for the LOAD...

I have an idea and I'd like to see who out there might be interested...I need to start some kind of exercise program for myself...but the truth is..I hate exercise..I hate to sweat..but I have to and I need help to stay motivated so I wonder out there does anyone want to join me on a "Walk across America"....? not literally...here's what I mean- pick a destination- for me a starting one might be Scott Air Force Base which is 7 miles from my front door...now, no way could I walk 7 miles at once (being realistic here) but if I walked a mile a day for 7 days then I've walked to the base (whether it's walking around your block or on your treadmill or the gym) then set another goal...5 miles from the base is a little town called Lebanon and so on.....what do you guys think? want to join me...we can link up and report and motivate each other and see how far we go...no stress if you don't make it sometimes it's all for you...I'd like to start in a week or two...anyone who wants to can join in...let me know...!!

and I just had to share this picture with you

This is Cocoa..look how big she's getting...she sits like this all the time whether someone has food or not, she thinks she's a meercat...maybe she watches too much tv....
Today it's early but I'm already grateful for:
1. all of us having a day off together
2. a yummy breakfast
3. lots of sticky snow to play in
4.the promise of a whole new month (what an adventure!)
5. a new book to dig into
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Day!

You guys got way more snow than we did!! When it was all said and done, ours was just ice. :(

I like you idea to walk across America. That would be a fun challenge! Keep me posted, I think I would like to join you!

Marie is west of and just had the snow day. I am east of you. Are we next? We actually had a two hour delay today because there was an ice storm . We haven't had a delay in about 6 or 7 years. We don't get many snow days either because we live right off the lake and get the lake effect storms so our city is always ready for them. Was that your yard? It looks so pretty. I wish I could do that walk thing, but it's just too hard for me with my 4 year old with me all day. I can only exercise in my basement or in the evening when there aren't any activities going on. Oh, and your dog! He looks like Ottie in Garfield! Did you see that movie? "Down dumb dog!" I know your dog's not dumb. That's just my favorite part of the movie.

The weather forecasters said we'd have snow today - the kids were so excited, but none appeared! Good luck with the walking. x

wow that really is snow, and here we are sweltering in the heat. I enjoyed LOAD and discovered I scrapped faster and didn't overthink my layouts. I am happy with what I created and it showed me how I can scrap everyday even if it is one layout. Good luck with the walking, I start back into my routine next week and that includes some form of exercising. I am a bit like you in that respect.

We actually have 8 inches of snow here! I love the snow! It is sooo pretty and I get to spend the entire day with my girls crafting! Maybe I can do some catching up?!

Cocoa is adorable! How old is she?

Love the LOAD Layout! You are awesome! There is no way I could keep up with a challenge like that let alone be as creative as you! All of your LOAD Layouts are awesome!

I definitely need some motivation with staying focused on walking each day... I start and then stop because I get bored... I'll join ya! Keep me posted...

We haven't had any snow this winter! I promised my boys last year, when we lived on the equator, that we would have snow between their two birthdays (one's in Dec and one's in Jan). Guess what? No SNOW! In POLAND! The Poles think it's the end of the world.

Oh, and count me in on the challenge!

we are just 1/2 in but I was so home sick if I shut myself in the bedroom or the craft room I don't smell the smoke from upstairs that is what needs done yet.I think they are going to replace the upstairs side windows and clean and/or replace the carpet in the bedroom....pat
