So this is what happens...

While Britain in is in class...apparently this is the reason he has so much homework, actually this is where he's supposed to be writing down his homework..love the "this week in history" on the page...I suppose I should be a little bothered, mad even, but they are just so funny...apparently his classmates are "ordering" comics of themselves...and he's a straight A student so I guess you pick your battles right? and he is pretty creative!
here he is with Landon making fun of some crazy people on American Idol, ok now normally I don't condone "making fun" of anyone- but really some of these people on AI you know are just trying to get on TV and they let them on totally for the entertainment value....

I had time today....I love time
so I got mostly caught up on Creative Prompts...these have so inspired me over the past several months...after doing them for so long I can look at almost any ad, photo anything and see a "sketch" in my head...
here's #23

here's #24

sketch #25

yes, I actually did a layout about when we all had the flu....ahhh the memories :-)
and here is my card for the week for the Deck of Me Challenge-this weeks prompt was what would you go back and tell your younger self...

and before you say "oh no you didn't!"

let me say yes I did! I busted out the

prom picture...LOL
This is the back
that's it...
today I'm grateful for:
1. scrappy time
2. hot chili for dinner on a cold day
3. The kids have been hanging out with me drawing while I type this
4. tomorrow is the last day of LOAD and while I've enjoyed it so much I'm kind of comforted that it's almost over
5.love

I love all the doodles. Doodles tell a lot about a person. My older girls are very good artists and love to doodle - I love to see any kids' doodles!!

The layouts are great - I love the prom dress BTW!

Have a good Thursday Amy - see you soon.

I love AI too!! Kellan

Amy, another great one. Your son must have spent A LOT of time on those drawings! Wow! That's a good idea taking pics of the kids sick. We seem to only take ones of the kids smiling and healthy, but they look so pathetic and cute when they're sick. Also, THE PROM! You actually look cute! I hated mine, including my date!

Very cute LOs! I love your deck of me cards. I'm caught up until this week.

Your kids are adorable! Landon is SUCH a character! And what is up with those American Idol people, do they REALLY think they can sing??

(love those doodles too~a creative mind doesn't have an off switch...even in school)

Here in the UK we call it 'doodling' ... I'm a big fan of doodling and my daughter is too. It fuels creativity, so as long as it doesn't stop him doing his work, I think Britain should keep on doing it! x

Wow! Look at you go, girl!! I love it when you get on a creative burst of energy (although I am beginning to think that it's a constant for you!) Gorgeous layouts, my dear!! And I LOVE the prom dress!!! :p

Your son has obviously inherited some of his mom's artistic genes!! smiles...

The pages from your sons notebook are priceless!!! I would totally save that notebook at the end of the year!

Love your Layouts!! So cute! I'm totally in awe of the last one!! It's so peaceful!

Your DoM card is awesome! I love how you busted out the prom pic!! I couldn't find any of my sr pics or it would have been on there!! LOL. That is awesome! I love it!!

RYC: I totally know what you mean about those mailboxes. Everyone online had one, but every target I went to didn't... until the other day. And it actually didn't have a flag, and it's pieced together because there was parts to 3 separate mailboxes there. :O!! I was so excited to make that. I think I am going to give him the mailbox tonight! :)

Your son is sooo creative! He definitely gets it from his Mom!

How cool that you pulled out your prom picture for this card! It looks great!
